A Palestinian boy named Abdullah just wakes up during a light rain as he sleep on the street in front of an open fire in the Sheikh Jarah neightborhood in Arab East Jerusalem, 07 December 2009.

Abdullah and his family live in a tent across the street from their former house which since it was ocupied by Israeli settlers.

EU Ministers in Brussels are discussing the Swedish motion that East Jerusalem be accepted as the capital of any future Palestinian state, as Israel tries to block the decision.

Abdullah’s family lived in a house across the street here but a court decision in early August of this year turned the home over to Jewish settlers, so the family has lived on the street in tents since then.
